Survey finds that over half the participants don’t know the Auckland mayoral election candidates

A recent survey conducted in Aotea Square showed that 58% of the participants who can vote, have no idea who the mayoral election candidates are .

The survey was conducted on the 20th of August from 12pm to 1:30pm , and each interviewee was told the candidates’ names to help.

Participants said they did not know who was running because they had no interest in taking part in these elections as they felt unheard by the candidates.
